What should I bring to my first appointment?
Anything that you feel comfortable bringing that can help us to understand where you are financially and what you would like to accomplish would be appropriate to bring to your first appointment. This may include some or all of the following:
-Recent copies of your financial account statements including all retirement, 401(k), pensions, investment/bank accounts and annuities.
-Summary pages for all life insurance, disability income insurance and long-term care insurance currently in force.
-Summary of benefits provided through your employer if you are an employee, or that you provide to your employees if you are a business owner.
-Most recent 2 years of personal and business tax returns.
-Recent Social Security benefit statement
-Most recently executed estate documents.
-Most recently executed business planning documents including buy/sell agreements, operating agreements or succession planning agreements.
-Major asset purchase details
-Any other information or documents that you feel would facilitate the conversation.
